My mom is in surgery most of the day today (I posted a couple of months about her cancer diagnosis, as a result of which we've moved our wedding location to be closer to her). We are hoping and praying that she comes out of it with flying colors AND that the surgery gets all of the cancer. Thoughts and prayers would be very much appreciated today!

My dad had surgery to remove his cancer a few years ago (well, they just removed his entire prostate) but it was very scary. T & P to you all!

Well, we've had a bit of a setback - her blood oxygen saturation level was too low, so they didn't want to put her under anesthesia until they figured out what the problem was. So now she has to have a bunch of tests to make sure that her heart and lungs are ok before she can have the surgery. Ugh.

The good news is, I guess, that I'm going to be heading out there at the end of the week, so I'll be there for her when she does eventually make it into surgery.
