Well ladies, this might be TMI but I'm gonna go for it.
I can't shave 'down there' with a proper razor because I get terrible razor burn. Trust me, I've tried everything - new razors, different creams, etc. My skin is just so sensitive (even shaving my arm pits is a pain in the ass because they get sore and itchy for 2 days). Anyway, I've always substituted for FI with an electric razor but I'm just getting SO tired of using it. It's ridiculously time consuming because it's so big and bulky and it's never a smooth finish. I also find it hard to get "everything" because of the awkward angles and that's the way FI likes it.
I've never waxed anything except my eyebrows. I was thinking of getting a full on wax down there - but I'll be honest. I'm terrified. The pain is a little worrisome, but I've given birth to 2 children so I'm sure it can't be worse (God, I hope not). What scares me more is exposing my junk to some random (none of my friends do this so I can't really go off of recommendations... and I can't really ask just anyone except my close friends who waxes their vag hahahha).
I'm also worried about the after effects. FI worked with a man whose wife got one and the woman who did it effed up BIG TIME. She took a couple of layers of skin off with the hair and the woman was left nursing a giant scab for weeks. GROSS. I guess this goes hand in hand with finding someone reputable.
Tell me your stories/experience/words of wisdom. It's something I've wanted to do for 2+ years now but I just keep putting it off because I'm chicken. Tips? Tricks?
Where I have sensitive skin, I just don't want to end up not being able to walk for 2 days or end up with itchy healing skin afterwards. Not attractive. "Excuse me while I itch myself.....".... just plain awkward.
