  • I haven't really done any of this but I suppose I'll join this week.

    What was your biggest motivation last week? After knowing I ate so much over Thanksgiving, I knew I needed to work out more!

    If you did any workouts, what did you do? I ran and did insanity (they're insane, for real)

    What was your favorite healthy meal of the week? I'm proud to say that I'm having salad for lunch for the 2nd day in row- spianch, mariana oranges, pomegranate, walnuts, mozzarella cheese, and balsamic vinagerette.

    Any motivational tips? quotes, pics, sayings, etc. you would like to share? I've always loved this- "Focus on the Result!". I usually think of this when I'm suffering through a workout.

    What is your goal for next week? I would like to eat healthier and not whine so much when I need to work out.

    Any receipes you would like to share? Try the salad I mentioned above. Yum!

    What's your secret for pomegranates?  I've done the soaking of them and all that, but still find it's a pain to get all the seeds.  Any tricks?

    Actually this is no secret- I found an awesome container with all of the pomegranate seeds in it!! I found it in the salad/fruit area in the cold section. I was SO excited when I found it- it even comes with a spoon so I can just scoop out the seeds from the cup. I think it says "POW" in the front with the O being heart-like. Clear cup.

    If you did any workouts, what did you do? - I've been slacking on my cardio, so I only did a little before and after my trainer sessions

    On a side note, I pulled out a suit I purchased last year for job interviews (I got an interview this Thursday!) and when I went to try it on, it's really big on me!  That was pretty exciting because the scale has been doing nothing but going up for me these past few months.

  • I don't have time to answer everything, but the past week has been good for me.  I've been upping my fruits and veggies and when we do have to eat out, I am making very conscious choices.  Bonus of the week, FI has started doing the 30 day shred with me!
  • So I lost 2.5 pounds this week :)
    What was your biggest motivation last week? I think it was the 1.5 gain last week that motivated me to eat healthier.
      
    If you did any workouts, what did you do?I went to the gym a couple times and did some walking this weekend. 

    What was your favorite healthy meal of the week? Besides the cupcake tasting that wasn't healthy? Probably my skinny shepard's pie from skinny taste.

    White Chicken Chili Recipe

    Directions:

    Place chicken in a 4 quart slow cooker.
    Top with beans and corn.
    In a medium bowl, combine taco seasoning, chiles, condensed soup, and chicken broth. Pour over top of ingredients in the crock pot.
    Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
    Before serving, stir gently to break up chicken, then stir in the sour cream.
    Serve topped with green onions and jack cheese, if desired.

    We're trying to save money for our honeymoon, so I brought lunch to work all last week! And it was healthier than eating out.

    If you did any workouts, what did you do?
    Umm.... nope.

    Delicious roast beef sandwiches at work

    Get back to my workout routine, and continue bringing lunches to work. Also, drink less Coke. Oh man, so many goals lol

  • What was your biggest motivation last week? still just thinking about the trip home over christmas and new years in vegas... i need to be fab
    If you did any workouts, what did you do? curling (which for those who havent tried it, it's like 2 hours of cardio, arms and legs, awesome) shoveling snow x 2 and yoga.
