Pomanders.. UGH

So, I have been looking at places to buy bulk tissue papers on the cheap and everywhere I have found is either ridiculous or really cheap quality.
I think I give up on this project for now.

And, I don't really have anywhere to store them atm. So, that cut costs a bit.

  • Where did you want to use them? Maybe we can help you come up with some kind of alternative. I wanted to order some paper pomadors sp? to decorate the golf card, but couldn't see myself spending $45 on some paper.

  • What about another kind?  I nixed the idea with tissue paper too because of the cost.  I found a great method with coffee filters that end up looking just like a ball of carnations.  The link is in my pinterest if you want to look at it.

  • I'm doing the same coffee filter ones Megan! I bought the filters today, and in total 400 came to $7. I won't even need that many but that's how they came. I am planning on sticking them into styrofoam balls (we'll see how that goes) so that will up the cost a bit but they should still be super cheap if I get everything with 50% off coupons at Micheals.

All the styrofoam balls I found were $2.50 and up even with a 50% off coupon.  I found lanterns online for 80 cents a piece and went with those.

<div>I might look into that. We are having lanterns on the ceiling of our reception, but we have an event company doing them for us (they are family friends) so I don't need to order any. But I could always get some extras through them. I have one styrofoam ball already that my mom got me so I'll make the first and see how it goes. We are placing them on small pots rather than hanging them because I can't find cheap shepherd's hooks. </div>

Did you try dollar tree?  I had to order mine online but I picked them up in store for free shipping.
