June 2012 Weddings

Cocktail napkins (PIP)

I spent the better half of the last 2 days working on these cocktail napkins.  After all is said and done there are over 600 and will be used for the bar and our cake table!  The white ones are just stamped (tried embossing them and the letters in our names ran together) and the black ones are embossed!

Re: Cocktail napkins (PIP)

  • Nice; I'm planning on stamping mine too! How many do you think I should make; how did you calculate that? We're not having a bar but we'll have apppetizers and a meal.

Also, I just got a rubber stamp and regular (well, dark purple) ink; do you think that will be okay?

  • So cute! Maybe I'll do my own, too. I hadn't thought of doing that. I was going to buy some, but these look great!

  • Good Job! They look great! Where did you get the embosser?
  • Did you make these?! They look awesome! I'd love the tutorial if you'd be willing to share.
  • After seeing how everyone did these, it makes me want to do them also! They look great

  • Hey girls....to answer a couple of questions.

@Kelsey - I did make them...it was my weekend project!!

@57rainbows (sorry I don't recall your name) - I started with just 300 white napkins until FI mentioned black ones looking nice too.  So I decided to stamp them all that way we'll have plenty!

I don't have a tutorial typed out but will try to explain what I did.  Essentially the Andrew and Kelsey is just a personalized stamp from ebay seller http://myworld.ebay.com/loongchai74/&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754, some white napkins I purchased from Ikea, and a memento stamp pad from Michaels (it is water resistent once it dries so it doesn't smear).  I just started stamping napkins.   As far as the black napkins (FI decided he wanted napkins in black too) and something with a monogram.  The Andrew and Kelsey wouldn't show just stamped so I bought a "C" stamp out of the dollar bin at Michaels, used the same stamp pad, some recollections pink embossing powder, and used my embossing heat tool and went to work.  I attempted to stamp and "powder" 2-3 napkins at once but when they were heated they didn't quite look as good as doing them individually.

I think for everything, including the Andrew and Kelsey personalized stamp I spent $36 on 600 napkins.
