My friends have decided that since we have failed to do anything for the last three years that we've been at college, we should do something extra special for spring break this year. Which sounds great to me, only they want to go to the Dominican Republic or on a cruise or something.
Somehow, they are failing to understand that I am planning and paying for a wedding (mostly by myself, the parents are covering flowers and my dress, and FI doesn't have a job). When I brought up that I probably won't be able to go because I won't have the money, they just said, well that's why we're looking for a deal, you'll be able to go. And I don't understand how they themselves expect to be able to pay for this. There are 8 of us, 2 of them just did study abroad trips, and of the others only 2 have a job right now, 1 of whom has rent and bills to worry about. None of them will be able to afford it either.
My maid of honor is the only one of the group who seems to think it's a crazy idea too. And I know that they could just go without me, but it seems like there are so many other things we could do together closer to home. We're college students for crying out loud, none of us have money.
