NWR: Laundry

Okay.. so I wore one of my FMIL's sweaters on Saturday. I washed it yesterday..

I get a text today not to wash it. I told her I did wash it but I hung it to dry. She asked if I used the gentle cycle.. (I didn't) I said yes. I don't know why I said yes, I guess I just didn't think it would be noticeable and I didn't want her to get all bent out of shape..

It was the first time it was washed. I washed it with like colors and with cold water. My question is.. do you think she will notice that it went thru the regular cycle vs. the gentle cycle?

I dont think there will be a noticeable different, especially since it was the first and only time that i was washed and that it was hung dryed.

What type of material is it that she's never washed it before?

I don't think it'd be noticeable. If something happens to it just say you'll replace to avoid any drama

She has never worn it. And I didn't think she'll notice.. just wanted to see what others thought. I tend to get nervous and over think.

I don't think you can notice a difference between a regular cycle or a gentle cycle wash. I think the reason gentle cycle is used is so delicate items don't unravel... FMIL washed the bathroom scatter rugs on regular cycle and they ended up shredded!

Nope she wont notice. I would go by the directions on the tag. Or just starting washing the sweart in the gentle cycle for now on.

I don't know if she will notice, but sweaters are supposed to be layed flat to dry. So they keep their shape. You may want to take it off the hanger if it is getting "saggy". Hope she doesn't notice! If she does, it was an honest mistake!
