Just wanted to ask about people's experiences getting a Catholic priest for their wedding. My fiance and I will be having a Catholic wedding and the priest that I was hoping would do it can't. Have any of you found a priest other than your usual priest to do your wedding? Was it hard to get someone who doesn't know you very well to agree to this? Of course, there are other priests who I know (just not as well as the one I originally asked), I was just hoping that this one particular priest would be able to do the wedding and I'm just a little bit nervous about asking someone who I don't know too well.
I wish I could have worked our wedding date around getting the perfect priest, however there are many reasons we have to have the date we picked (including family member graduations, work and school schedules, and out of town guests). Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!
