June 2012 Weddings

LIP Menu

I'm working on how our menu will be printed to go into our pocket fold with the invite and rsvp. WDYT?

Also do you think the different stations are enough options? Would you get rid of the additional selections?

Re: LIP Menu

  • edited January 2012
I would put a less detailed menu with the invitation and have the more detailed on displayed at the cocktail hour and on the reception tables. We're only putting the entree selections in the invites, so in your case I'd just write the stations.

Edit: I'd leave the drink selection on the invite menu.

  • Cocktail Hour:
Capitalize fruit and cheese since the 2 lines above it are capitalized

    Carving station:
get rid of the line about rolls and butter. I think it would be safe to assume condiments and rolls would be provided

    Waffle bar:
break up line about syrup and berries to be a more even 2 lines

    Additional selection:
for the salmon should it be encrusted?

  • Do you think we even need the additional selections? We're having under 75 guests, and i feel like the three stations are already a ton of food.  They sort of feel out of place, and obviously it would save us money. But I want to know what you guys think?

I don't think so. When I was reading it, the extra selection seemed out of place. I think Omelets and Waffles sound awesome. Who doesn't like those?<div>I would also agree with Diamond about less detailed info on the invite. </div>
  • I think you could safely skip the extra selections. Vegetarian guests are covered by the MTO omelettes and waffles. Actually, with those two items, the carving station seems a bit out of place. Breakfast food, breakfast food and turkey.

Good point about the vegetarians being covered. I think it sounds like such a fun menu

  • The carving station is included for those who don't want breakfast foods. Its 100% staying, because i know there will be quests who won't want breakfast, and a few lactose intolerant guests who wont be able to eat the other two options

I love meat, so I'm OK with this =)

I'd just print it out and put it in an 8x10 frame or something, near the drinks or whatever station is closest to the "start", like the cheese table or whatever.
