Where/when should I include our site's historical significance?

We're getting married at a historical site turned museum. There are 9 buildings on total on the property, dating back to the late 1800's. It holds significant historical happenings for the Canadian law system, as well as our provincial law system dating back to the early 1900's. I'd love to include some background info for those who may not be familiar with the history of the site and a little note to let them know they're free to roam the grounds and see the other buildings, but I'm having a hard time thinking about where I should include it.

We will NOT be having a wedding website - every single person invited knows my phone number and can call/email to iron out any details (all close family and friends) so that's not an option.

I'm not sure if we were planning on having a program for the ceremony (civil), but I was thinking that it might be a nice place to put the details as our guests will have the option to roam the grounds and check out the other buildings after the ceremony and it would give them something interesting to look at while waiting for the ceremony to begin.

My other thought was something like an exit program, where as they leave the ceremony they'll receive a brochure type thing (made up by me) with all of the details.

The last option I could do would be to have something on the tables at the reception, but I'm worried that the timing of this won't make any sense as they might have already looked around the museum by this point.

Thoughts? Opinions? WWYD?
