I just finished canning some blueberry syrup that I am hoping to use as Christmas gifts this year. I've already canned strawberry jam and will be doing some raspberry at the end of August when the second round of red raspberries come on at the local pick-your-own farm. It kind of makes me wish I was doing something like this for favors at my reception even though none of it is the right color and it doesn't really fit our wedding style. I may put some in the gifts for the BM and GM anyway

On a side note, I can't wait for dinner tonight. FI and I are making waffles so we can use the syrup!
