Okay ladies! I literally went from stalking/posting daily to not even wanting to look at TK boards. It's all because within a week, I have been doing nothing but discussing this event that I kind of got burned out.
Heres the scoop:
Last Thurs I left NC for MD to go meet my grandparents to try on dresses. I found two that I absolutely loved, but decided to go with the one that was more cost effective for my grandparents. Its a beautiful DB gown that was a "tester" so not very many were made and I had to take off the rack that day. They did an inspection and my grandmother (the biggest critic of all) was right over their shoulder. This past weekend my grandmother has done nothing but hound me about the wedding! Nothing but question after questioin after question...calling places and whatnot!
She made a pit stop through Wilmington on her way back to down to FL to see my venue and church so I took a day off work to show my grandparents the city that I love so much. Well they were very impressed! We booked several hotels for our guests (wilmington does not have big hotels), met with the "hat lady" to go over ideas for my custom veil that I may or may not get, the "carriage man" for a tour of wilmington and price quotes for having him at our big day (FIs big idea), and even quoted prices for a potential rehersal dinner! That woman may be in her late 60s/early 70s but my goodness she will wear you out! She was even making our experienced wedding coordinator flustered!
