NWR: Mother's Day

So I have no idea what to do for mother's day. I asked my mom and she just said, "oh, whatever. I'm sure you'll come up with something." For the last few years, I have. Amazing things. One year I bought her this whole vintage series of daily items (tote, notepad, stickies, magnets, pens, etc.) It was really cute and she loved it. Then I painted her bedroom, and last year my brother and I cleaned and organized her scrapbook room. Which took a whole weekend.

So, I'm out of ideas.

Anyone else got something fantastic planned for their moms?

I paid for my mom and I got our toes done yesterday, I bought her a few pair of sandals for the summer to show off her cute toes! She's also coming over to our house for dinner this weekend.

My FI built me a flower box for mothers day, he spent all week on it. And on Saturday, he's taking me to the nursery to buy plants to fill my new box!

My family always goes to brunch on Mother's Day with our mother and grandmothers. This year my mother has said she wants to have some champagne when we get back (the place we're going this year doesn't have mimosas and she loves them), so we are getting her her favorite champagne. Last year one of the things we got her was this "Gift that Gives More", which was to feed an AIDs orphan lunch for a year-only $18! She loves stuff like that and cried and said it was such a good present.

This year I found one that liberates a girl from indentured servitude for 6 months and its $50, so I think we might do that one this year. There's so many different ones though, its hard to choose. If anyone wants to check it out the website is:

Ugh ... I never know what to do for this stuff. I hate sending flowers, but it's always the easiest. This year I'm totally broke though and I still need to find a job. I might just call mom and FMIL and wish them a happy mother's day. They understand the situation.
