My vision is starting to come together, so I thought I would share some of my decent DIY checks/works in progress.
We're doing mostly white as our color, with just a few little silver details mixed in. This is the tent where our reception will be (minus the paper lanterns and cleaned of course):
In place of those lanterns and with more going out to the tent corners, we'll have about 20 silver lanterns. I picked them up on summer clearance at Pier 1 and they were originally black and blue. Now they're silver and a work in progress:
For the table numbers, I'm hoping to use address numbers. I'm still on the hunt for cheap numbers that have a flat bottom. If all else fails, we'll buy plastic ones and cut the bottom to make it flat. These are just a trial run:
I also found and re-painted an ampersand sign to hang in between mine and FI's chairs. We're having white wooden folding chairs and we plan to tie it with white tulle.
My invitation design I DIYed a while back, but I just found out how inexpensive they're going to be to print so I'm pretty excited and thought I would share. The monogram and swirl aren't original. I found them online and just combined them.
