Last night I had a girls night with my mom, grandmas, aunts, cousin and FMIL. We had dinner at Olive Garden, then went to David's Bridal. I had a great consultant. She was so down to earth.
So, I tried on a couple of dresses that I liked, then the consultant pulled a few. I really wanted a mermaid but I hate pick-ups and lace. At least, I thought I did. She pulled one that was lace. At first, I didn't even want to try it on. But I thought it would be an easy veto, so I tried it on. My group loved it. It was their top choice for a while. Eventually it was down to 3 dresses, my favorite, and two favorites of my group, both of which I liked. So I put A on and decided no, then it was down to two. I put B on and everyone loved it. They said i should buy it and not even put C on again. But I put C on and they loved it too. They voted and 4 people voted for C and 2 people for B.
I was absolutely torn at this point, I thought I was going to go home without a dress, because I couldn't decide. So my consultant and I went into my room to talk and I asked her if I could put B on again. When I walked out and saw myself in the mirror, I knew B was my dress. So I told my group and they started clapping. I think a few even teared up.
Then the consultant said I could take the dress home that night. But my mom said, well not if she has to make payments on it. So I was walking back to my dressing room, and my grandma said she would pay for it, then FMIL wanted to chip in, and my mom, and my other grandma, and one of my aunts. So, everyone chipped in and I was able to take my dress home last night.
