Sooo another knottie gave me a suggestion on a venue for the reception...I called and was shot down because the place is for people 40 and over...

Hello this is (i forgot her name) from Crystal Magnolia Country Club. How can I help you
ME: Good morning. I am intersted in finding out some information about your venue for a wedding reception
HER: Ok well first you have to be a member of the club or have a member sponsor you
ME: Um how much is membership?
HER: Is the applicant 40 or older
:ME: No I am 32.
HER: Oh well baby you must be 40 or older to be a member and you must be 40 or older to have a reception here...
ME: BUWAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA (thats my laugh) Are you serious? Oh ok cool guess I will find something meant for 30-39 years old's getting married...still laughing
HER: Baby I am sorry but you came 8 years too late to have functions here...

OMG! That has to be the funniest thing I have ever heard of... Where is this place? Can't be in New Orleans. There is a new reception venue that just opened its doors last week. They are supposed to be modern and have all the lighting and LED options setup already. Its call The Cannery. I'm not sure if you are familiar with The American Can warehouse apartments on Canal St, but try them out.

Yup, it is common here in Houston that you must have a member sponsor you if you want to have your wedding there. But I have NEVER heard anyone say you must be 40 or over...

There are too many wealthy young adults this is crazy!

I know that it is common for a lot of clubs to have SPONSORS if you want to have events at their venue...but to say that you have to be 40....that was hilarious!!
