    it's a photo session with your photog and it's usually planned a week to 4 weeks after your wedding and you take art inspired pics of you literally trashing your gown...here's an example for ya:

    My husband and I did some in Jamaica on our wedding day. A lot of DW (destination wedding) brides have there's done while they're still on location on the beach, in the sand or around the area. Thats what we did, hence, my two dresses!

    I'll have to do that after my honeymoon because I am going to use my wedding dress as a formal dress. It's red so I can get away with it.

    Im thinking of doing this too.  Im so over my dress!  And my daughter will probably want her own new dress.  Im not paying more money to get this sucker cleaned.  I paid enough already. JMO! :-)

    P and I talked about this yesterday. I think we posted somewhere about TTD. We're going to Panama City next week and thought it would be nice to do a TTD session while there. I like them, but the thought of ruining my 'dream' doesn't sit to well. My heart skips a beat at the thought!

    You don't have to do it immediately afterwards. I'm waiting to do mine right before our 1 year anniversary. After that, I'm turning my dress into a quilt lol.

    Yes, you don't have to completely destroy the dress.  I hear, from our photographer, that you can take pictures lying or sitting on the ground, grass or even in water and just have the dress cleaned after the session.  FI wants to do this, but I just don't know yet...although it would be fun.
