STD's and RSVP...

I sent out my STD's this week. People have received them and are RSVPing online. To make sure that these guest are still coming I am going to send out RSVP's with meal options closer to the wedding (only to those that RSVPed online and those that did not will get the formal invitation). It will be cost effective because I will not have to order and make as many invitations (since most people throw them away). Ladies, what do you think?

I think that is a good idea. For the in town guest, we are not sending them an invite. Everyone will have the ability to view the invite online and RSVP that way. It is cost effective for us as well to only send the invites to the guest coming from out of town.

I actually think that is a good idea. I also had a wedding website where guest could RSVP online and get other info about the wedding. However you may want to consider for older guest who dont have computer access even if they are local to send them an actual invite.  Even though I sent out invites to all of my guest, that was one of the problems that I ran into, the old school folks thinking you already know they are coming. I had one of my bridesmaids call my husbands side if they had not RSVP by a certain date  (you shouldnt have to do this but for a more accuarte head count, I went a head and went the extra mile.).
