Relationship Rituals

Hey ladies this could be a fun post: what are some of the rituals you and your FI have grown accustomed to? Could be funny, something you do everytime you hear a certain song? could be a weekly routine like you always grocery shop together on sunday afternoons? could be serious like every morning you pray together before you leave the house? or letting the other one know as soon as you make it somewhere, this one is wide open don't even know where it came from.ours is really lame (thankful for the small things tho) but every night before we go to sleep we have to say good night, sweet dreams, and i love you (we are still long distance until Aug 30! Yay!) doesn't matter if one of us is out at a bar we have to go to the bathroom or something and make the call. it keeps us from going to sleep angry because we really have to be sincere about it. im sure we have some i'm not remembering..maybe when we live together we will have some more... what are yours??

We have a habit of kissing three times.  It's something we've done since the beginning of our relationship.  And whenever one of is away overnight from home before we go to bed we have to say, "see you in my dreams."  Something I started doing at the beginning of our relationship and now we both do it everytime we have to be away from home.  So sappy!

We have a couple ... (1) We have to dance whenever we hear Seal "Kiss From A Rose". Naturally we hear it a lot in the grocery store or the bank so there we are on aisle 5.... we have to dance through the chorus. :-) We've also danced over the phone if one of us hears it and calls the other. (2) Every time we get in the car to go on a road trip I always say "Derek & Tiffani on another whirlwind adventure". I got it from Shrek - Donkey says it in the movie. I'm sure there are more .....

My fiance always tells me he loves me every day and twice on Sundays. So on Sunday morning when I wake up I say, baby do you love me, and he says what's today, and I say sunday, and he says well twice today! It's so corny but I get such a kick out of it. We also text eachother, even if we are in the same room. Some of them are for grown folks only. I said shyt I hope our text messages don't get Kwame Kilpatricked. LOL

My husband and I must kiss and hug as soon as either one of us comes into the house or upon meeting one another.  Its a way of us reconnecting with one another.  Also when we hear our first dance song, "Point of it All" by Anthony Hamilton, we stop and sing the whole song.

My FI and I kiss eachother as soon as we see eachother after work, it has to be atleast a 20 sec kiss. Another one is FI wakes me up every morning by saying "good morning princess"! There is a lot more!

Hummm... There are so many goofy things that we do! LOL!! Well I always Huge Him and give him a few kisses as soon as he gets home. We text each other at least 20 times a day. When he leaves for work, he kisses me and say I hope you have a great day sweet heart. When we go to sleep he says "Good night Sweet heart. I love you". I could go on and on.

We kiss each other every morning or night no matter what. We also have our TV night every Sunday and Monday (HBO), we can not watch them unless we are both there. We always take nightly showers together, its our way to have some alone time. And we work out together on the weekends. its a lot of other things.

A few of ours- We always kiss and hug when we carpool to work in the morning and whenever we get home from work. He always wakes me up with kisses. Whenever he does something I think is what my dad would so, I call him by my father's name.

Fi and I talk before we go to sleep. He calls it "bedtime talk"  its a good way to catch up on whatever is going on in eachothers lives...good or bad.  We make time for it no matter what. Its funny because FI is "HARD" 24/7. But let us not get bedtime talk and he acts like the world is ending.  Its to the point where I cant sleep without laying on his chest and listening to his plans for making our lives better.

We have a couple. FI always gives me a kiss before I leave the house, every night before we goto sleep we each ask a question we really want the answer to and it can be really silly or very serious and we also alternate every other night telling each other "something nice" something we really appreciate about the other.

    - We always kiss when we first see each other or before we leave.- Usually, I am dog tired by the time I have gotten home from work and class and whatever else I am doing, a few times I have left my keys on the outside of the door.  So FI always says "I love you, good night, make sure all the doors are locked, the keys aren't in the door and the alarm is on and have a good day at work tomorrow" before he hangs up the phone at night.

It's corny, but true.  We tell each other we love each other every day, but if one of us says it first, the other responds with "I Love You More".  We live in different cities currrently, but we cook dinner together on Sundays when we see each other.
