I knew you would have a great time!!...ok so I heart (LOL!) the food vendor; cake bakery and DJ finds tremendously...your cake is going to be FABULOUS if you use that vendor and I liked your menu ideas.  :)

I did have a lot of fun! Thanks I am very very excited about the catering vendor.  They have a tasting coming up soon so I will get FI to see what he thinks. Thanks about the menu draft. We know its alot of entrees but hopefully the Chicken Fett and Shrimp Polenta can be made to order at pasta stations.

I just left a message on your blog! We have the exact same concept for our menus! We are doing an Italian dinner serving family style with family style reception seat setting ( long tables instead of rounds with an estate table)

Great minds think alike!  I had a feeling the price was a good one.  We have just started looking at catering but most of the ones we have seen haven't been under $20 pp.  We will have to pay a fee ($250) to go out of the venues preferred catering list but it is still a big savings per person.Ci

Hi mycicy, Read your blog and I signed a contract with Lyn and Fresh Affairs a couple of months ago.  I really like their work and Lyn is awesome!

As far as pricing, how is he?  That is my only fear is that he'll be very pricey. We will definately schedule an appointment with him. He really impressed me.

He is a little pricey, but with that being said he will work with the budget that you set.  With him, the price does not only include just flowers, but may include other decor and so it just depends on what you want.  My contract is around $3000-$3500 with the option to go as low as I want.  HTH. I'm struggling with a baker.  I like Sweet Memories Bakery because their cakes are delicious and beautiful, but I've seen some bad reviews with them on the local board.

Have you looked a Cinda's Cakes.  She is really good too. Thanks for the price range for Lyn so I know what we are working with.

I saw the posting about Cinda's on the local board and I definitely plan on checking her out.  Lyn was very easy to work with and he was actually willing to work with any budget.
