Sing to him?!!? IDk!

Ok so i've been debating with myself every since I have dreamed of getting married. When my FI and I started dating I suprised him by singing him a song during a college homecoming dance(When told his friends about it he told the nearly melted). The song I sang was "Back at One" by Brian McKnight. So I was thinking about kinda making it a big deal again and sing it to him during the reception. I also just thought that maybe I should just let the record play and that be our first dance song. IDK What do you think?

I like both ideas but ask yourself if you can get through the song without getting emotional and not finishing the song. I would have a hard time doing that (not only because I can't sing) but it can get very emotional. If you can get through it great, get your song on! He obviously loved it.

Both of your ideas are wonderful, whichever one you feel is better, then do it, cus in any event I am sure he will be appreciative & surprise..I kinda always hear about brides singing 2 their hubbies, so imo I really do like the idea more of the recorded one for the first dance; different & nice

Any chance you'd have a way of having yourself recorded singing it? That way it'd still have the meaning of you singing it for him and won't have the pressure of performing it at such an emotional time.

I think if he melted at the homecoming dance then he's going to be a ball of emotion at the reception. I'm sure he'd love it and there won't be a dry eye in the house. Even if you cry and can't make it through the whole song I think that would make it even more touching for you and your FI, even your guests. Go for it!

hey Crook251, I totally love that idea, I'm planning to sing to FI as I walk down the aisle wedding ! I like that song! Singing at the reception is a nice idea! He would love it! I say record it just to have it as a backup.
