Philly & Surrounding Area Brides: Recommend your DOC

Ok so it makes me mad that I need a DOC b/c basically everything is done and in order. But I know that I need someone that will make sure things are straight since I obviously will not be able to do it. I don't want to pay an arm and leg for this service either. KIR

    Mine is $500 and honestly without her I don't know where I would be. If you have a friend or family member that you can task with this I would start there but if you want someone who can come in and take charge then I suggest hiring a pro. $500 was a small price to pay IMO for a peace of mind. HTH

    Worth it worth it worth it.  I cannot say enough.  I love my family but they won't do it like I want it done and I'd rather pay someone to make sure everything gets done right and at exactly when it's supposed to be done.  I don't know if you stop by the Philly board on a regular basis but they rave about Erin Proud.  When I first contacted her she wasn't available on my day but the other couple backed out and I hired her on the spot.  I hear nothing but good stuff about her.  Seriously, not ONE complaint.  I hear she is on point.  Do a google search for some reviews on her or ask about her on the Philly board.  She has different packages too.  Check out her website:  www.erinproud.comIf you give me a sec maybe I can find some info in my email on some other coordinators I've contacted.

    Thanks ladies. I agree with you both that I do want peace of mind. I'm definitely not leaving it in the hands of family lol... MrsW2000- I have heard about Erin so I'll check her out. I'm also still trying to get a fellow knottie (Onike33) for the DOC but FI is complianing that he doesn't see spending over$300 for a DOC and basically it's coming from his budget b/c mine is exhuasted. I'll see what I can do :)

    Erin Proud is highly recommended on the Philly board. I met her at the Synergetic Light show 2 months ago and didn't care for her but the pictures I've seen of her work are great. Also, she is not cheap ( I think about $900 for DOC) So I would look to MrW for her experience there... I am using a lady from the Philly board. She is an event coordinator for the Chamber of Commerce but wanted to branch into weddings full-time. I was a little skeptical but she'd have many wedding between then and May of next year, and she's had many more clients since, so I think her prices may have gone up. (I am paying $350 and $100 more if i wanted her help looking for the perfect reception place, which I ended up doing myself) When I contacted her in January, she seemed great! She is currently helping me find a jazz band (even though I'm only paying her for the DOC services) She is setting auditions for me, which is pretty nice and time consuming I have an old entry on the blog about her...

    Erin isn't super cheap that's true.  Her day of for 2009 is actually $700.
