When r u doing your 1st dance

Just wondering when you were doing your 1st dance and how the transition works. Our entrance song is Walk it out and our 1st dance is luther and mariah. Not too sure this will transition very smoothly. Another option is waiting until after everyone eats. what do u think?

I want to do our 1st dance after the blessing of the food. Our entrance song is a mix of Swagga Like Us/ Crazy in Love and I didn't think that would mix very well either, lol.

Our entrance is to "You rock my world" (Bridal party entrance is all MJ songs) then we are going to have the first dance to Here I Stand (Usher). I want it to seem like things drastically change and everyone stops to watch. I am not really worried about the transistion being smooth.

We're coming in to a mix of Jay Z's PSA (you know, where he says "Allow me to reintroduce myself) and the '03 Bonnie and Clyde song with him and Beyonce-FI loves JayZ...ugh.  LoLWe're going right into "Never Felt This Way by Brian McKnight" once we reach the dance floor. I like the big difference its going to make.  The first dance will only be the first verse and chorus anyway.

We're coming into an instrumental but the song I can't remember to dave my life. We'll later do our first dance after everyone is eating and before the cake cutting, then while cake is being served and eating then we'll do all the other special dances with toast given in between.

We are having trouble with our transitions as well. We are thinking about having the DJ pause and announce our first dance just to give a break between the introduction and our dance.

We are going to do our 1st dance when we make our entrance so the DJ will announce us we'll walk straight into the room onto the dance floor and have our 1st dance. Than we'll have the blessing of the food and it'll be time to eat.

We are thinking about doing out first dance before we open up the floor for dancing. FI and I are having a "praise dance"  team perform after we come in..  I think we are going to do our dance after everyone eats...

We are doing "Walk It Out" as our entrance song too. Our first dance will be after the introduction and our Dj is helping us transition into "As" by Stevie Wonder.

Our intro song for everyone was "Just Fine" by Mary J. My venue had a stage so the BP went to the head table and then DH and I entered the stage from a side door, walked up the stairs and went on the stage for our dance to "By your side" by Sade when the DJ said our names. It worked out quite well for us.

I'm not sure when we're doing ours but I would like to say that love the Jay-z songs people are using. I'm a huge fan and want us to come in to Bonnie and Clyde but I haven't told FI yet.

We will be doing our first dance after our entrance. Our entrance song is going to be the instrumental of A Night to Remember by Shalamar, then we will go into our first dance song If this world were mine by Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn. We want to get those dances out of the way honestly. Mother/daughter, Mother/Son, etc... So it will all fall in after our entrance.

I think we're going to start the reception off with our first dance.  I think we're going to get everything out of the way early on in the night.

Not really worried about the transition. We are doing our first dance right after entrance. I think going right into keeps the guest entertaine and in suspense as to what the rest of the night will be.
