What type of shoes did you wear?

Now even though my wedding is a classic affair, I'm also going for comfort. I know this is bad for some, but I've been eyeing a pair of purple Chuck Taylors.  I figured since my dress is long enough, no one is really going to look at my feet. I'll wear nice pumps for the pics but for walking and partying, it's definitely the sneaks. What shoes did you or are you going to wear on your big day?

We got married on the beach so I didn't wear any shoes for the ceremony (and yes I had a formal dress). I wore gold sandals for the reception only because my grandfather told me to put on some shoes...LOL! He thought I'd get a splinter walking around on the deck. Be careful with the size of your heel for the ceremony if you wear a heel. If you wear a huge heel and then try to wear flats for the reception you might end up stepping on your dress a lot. I learned this lesson the hard way at the last wedding other than my own that I went to.

Hmm Chucks are a good idea...I might have to do that too!I'm going to wear some nice shoes for the ceremony (I found some at Nina that are fire) but um yeah I didn't even think of the reception!  I know my feet will need a break!

I'm wearing red Stuart Weitzman heels. Fi liked them and bought them. FI wants to wear forces, and me pink sparkly chucks....not so sure though.

Well I'm 5'9 and FI is 5'4 so wearing heels is out of the question for me. I am wearing ballet slippers and I'll have a pair of heels on stand by just for the pics and the garter.

This is still in the air for me b/c I am getting married on a part of a golf course where ceremonies are held - but that is all grass. So, on one hand, I'm concerned about heels that are too narrow sinking into the grass, but on the other hand, I'm short so I need the height. :) I'm one to go for glamour (I wear heels all the time) and just sacrifice my feet (lol), and I never wear athletic shoes unless I'm on my treadmill, so I'm thinking of these in red. I'm going to go to the bridal salon where I ordered my dress and walk around a bit in them and try to access how comfortable they will be.  If not comfortable, I'll keep looking for some that are.http://www.dyeablesshoes.com/dy-40603ss.htmlWear the Chuck Taylors if they make you comfortable and that's really who you are!! Be yourself. :)
