**LadySun & Cat**

hey ladies (and anyone else reading this post)...my apologizes for not being able to respond to you yesterday...it was a difficult day and I wasn't able to be on TK like I prefer...LOL!so to answer the call of the drink request, here you go:Ladysun = I made this drink this weekend for my book club meeting and if I tell you ER'BODY loved it and plus it was super easy and pretty as well...it's called the RED SANGRIA (it's a recipe created by Gina Neely of the Pat & Gina Neely from the Food Network but I changed up the oranges because the original recipe calls for blood oranges and fresh blood orange juice - which are both very hard to find) Ingredients - 2 bottles red wine, chilled1/2 cup of brandy1 cup of fresh orange juice (I used the small bottle of Simply Orange Juice since it's the best)1/2 cup of sugar2 oranges sliced into rounds2 lemons sliced into roundsDirections - pour your wine & o.j. into a pitcher; in a measuring cup, measure out your brandy and sugar and stir together; pour into pitcher with wine & o.j. and combine all; add half of fruit slices into pitcher (reserve other half for garnishing your glasses); let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 mins to incorporate before serving...ENJOY!!

girl please, I rather for you to ask than to assume...so ok imagine you have the orange in your hand now...place the "navel" (the parts of the orange that was connected to the tree) to the left and the other end to the right so that your hand is in the middle of the orange...slice/cut ACROSS the orange starting from the right side...you should end up with 'rounds' after you've cut the entire orange...repeat the same for the lemons...were you able to follow that??

lmao!!! wait i had to read it twice, let me go back in..i was holding my hand out and all, and you know i was about to write "wheres the navel" CTFU!!!

Alf,That is our signature drink for the cocktail hour. FI is half Dominican so we incorporated the Spanish flair for cocktail hour, soup, and intermezzo. I love it! The hotel has access to blood orange juice, it's really good with that! Great choice.

lovie - girlllllllllll, this drink is the bomb aint it!!...I just wish I would have been able to use the blood oranges as it called for because I've had blood oranges in other drinks and it is a totally different taste but I went to 3 local stores and 2 specialty stores and wasn't able to find it so I was like " F it, plain oj is gonna have to do!"...LOL!  :) this is a great drink to use as a signature drink cuz it can be made in large batches and it's even better after it has had a chance to mingle the flavors together.
