Wedding Affair Showcase in Charlotte Recap

Ladies I actually got FI away from the TV on Football Sunday to go to a bridal showcase today and FI actually had a good time.We were chauffered with three other couples to the event by Hummer limousine. It was fly, so FI insantly was interested in it for him and his groomsmen. Our cake person was there and she was so happy to see us. She had her husband with her and he finally met us. It was great to see them.She gave us all kinds of samples that we hadn't tried and was chattin us up the whole time. She signed up a lot of brides today because of us raving about her services. And there were like 10 that actually booked with her on site. We had such a good time. Though most of our wedding is already complete, we had not much use for any of the vendors but it was fun to be able to interact with everyone at the beginning stages. We booked a cigar roller for the reception. He was great amd prices are great as well. Fi was against it at first until he actually saw the technique then he grabbed dude instantly and book him on the spot y'all! I was shocked because he thought that it was a waste of money. When have y'all ever heard me talk about a cigar bar? NOT NEVER! I was shocked and I am still in shock. Ladies if you haven't checked out these events I suggest that you do because you find all kinds of deals there and I am happy FI & I went.

oh what fun you & FI had today!!!...yes if you can get them out the house for anything to do with "wedding planning" on football Sunday, you've accomplished the ultimate!!...girl your cake baker should give y'all some type of incentive (i.e. - 1/2 off grooms cake, or upgrade on your cake) for all the bookings you & FI helped them get today...LOL!...wow, a cigar bar and FI was the one to book it -- most excellent!! speaking of cigar bar, I was thinking of finding cigars as "thank you" favors for DH's surprise bday party in March for the men of the party and Dallas Cowboy key chains for the ladies...DH has started to really like cigars and I thought it would be a great personal touch...now the thing is I don't have a clue as to which brand/type to buy cuz DH doesnt keep any of the labels...I was told to just visit some cigar vendors and tell them the type of "taste" DH likes and they should be able to suggest some to buy...whenever I do that, I'll let you know just in case you're interested as info to pass to your FI.

Big sis!!!!I like the idea of a cigar bar.  Yay! I am so glad y'all had fun.  Doesn't it feel good when you can get FI to join in on the fun?

I'm glad you and FI had a nice time Mr.ClintonsFirstLady.  I have gone to so many of those wedding shows that FI makes fun of me, because he said that I just go to sample the food.  He said that I treat it like a buffet. LOL.  I dragged him to one too, and he seemed to have a jolly good time eating all of the food as well.  But I know what you mean about having most of your planning done, for me, I think that it's pointless to go because I don't have use for most of the vendors.  Other than going to eat the free food, I may have to sit the next one out. LOL  But it would be cool to interact with other brides like you said....and you know...eat the free food. LOL
