In need of some Knottie vibes...

Hello Ladies,I spoke to one of my girlfriends this morning and she asked me when was I having a bridal shower. The news is I'm not.. My wedding party hasn't mention anything about a shower and I didn't budget for one. Anywho, she was like what??? Anyway, she volunteered to give me one.. The thought is great but my friend isn't working for (1) and 2) she isn't part of the bridal party.. I told her not to worry about it.. As I am sit here I'm  thinking I have supported each of the girls in my bridal party in their weddings, baby showers, etc.. I can't believe not one has mention anything... My wedding is Dec 5th which is what a month and 3 weeks away.. Oh well, I guess that's the way the cookie crumble... I should have budgeted for one...I'm in need of some positive vibes!!!Thanks...

Don't think they are not giving you one! They could surprise you! And you should NOT have to budget for your own wedding shower. Just because the friend isn't part of the bridal party doesn't mean she can't throw you a shower either. Sending POSITIVE knottie vibes and a hug because it sounds like you could use one!

I agree with ladylum, it may be a surprise, you are not suppose to budget for your own shower. I will def send up some knottie vibes that these Divas are on secret bridal shower plan mode:)

((I'm not gonna send you a knottie vibe - I'm gonna send you a COSMO cuz that will definitely make you feel better in 5 seconds flat!!...LOL!)) but seriously, the ladies are correct about your shower...your BP could be planning a surprise for you, as the guest of honor you're not gonna know until the last moment and your wedding isn't until 12/5, so you have plenty of time to get a shower...and look at it like this, you could possibly have a shower at work or even your immediate fam & in-laws may want to host one for you...so don't worry about it at all...and no a bride should never ever budget to plan her own shower...how would you word the invitations:  "Hey y'all know I'm getting married on Dec 5th, so come by my place on Nov 30th and bring me some gifts before I marry this boy!"...now girl I know you have too much class than to be doing that...LOL! **holding my martini glass to yours as we slip and chill together cuz today is a good day; no worries!!**

my shower was 3 weeks before my wedding so you still have time! Don't be so down. They shoul do something for ya! Not you for you!

I am going to give you multiple positive vibes because: 1.  We are getting married one day apart and 2.  It is really sad how your bridal party did not think of throwing you one.  Maybe they are?  I have done the same with some of my friends with respect to buying their kids bday gifts, xmas gifts, easter gifts I can go on and one..and what I got in return ohh we cant make it to your wedding.  So take it with a grain of salt and brush them off!  Come to NYC and we will have one together

@Khaligumbs, NYC is one of my favorite spots to visit.. I can definitely do a shower there.. You let me know the place, date, and time.. I'm there.. LOL!!!

Sending vibes your way.  I don't know if I'm having a shower either.  I too think that it's interesting that I have been so supportive of all of my friends throughout the major events in their lives and no one has offered to throw me a shower either.  My FMIL said that she would, but my own mother hasn't even offered.  Interesting!  And I feel bad letting my FMIL provide it since she doesn't really have much money.  She has been so helpful and supportive throughout this whole process.  I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your planning.  Hopefully your BP will come around before the wedding.

They may surprise you. My god-sis felt the same way when she got married in August. She was so noisey trying to figure out stuff. I had to tell her I was going to a co-workers reception and I wanted her to run with me. I did so good,when we arrived at the location she still had no clue. So that I would say dont give up.You never know what may happen.
