Favors! -- DYI Test Run (PIP)

I think I figured out my favors...Chocolate covered pretzel rods. I did a trial run last night. The white chocolate ones got hard, but the dark chocolate ones are still kind of soft... not sure how to fix this...For the wedding they'll be packaged by twos in cellophane baggies tied with brown ribbon and thank you notes.WDYT? Any suggestions for improvement? I love this idea! I've even considered doing it! I don't know why one got hard and the other didn't. You could also add a few sprinkles in your wedding color. Or drizzle a different color icing on it (in your wedding color) Are you doing all of them? If so, share with me how you are going to store them. (that's why i turned away from it)

I think I want to be invited to your wedding so that I can get a chocolate covered pretzel rod.  No suggestions for improvement b/c  I think this is an awesome favor idea.

Love this idea.. This is soo unique. How are you going to store them? When will you do them?

Did you use almond bark chocolate? If not try it. Make sure the room is not too warm, set on wire racks, let cool. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, not microwave. White chocolate will get hard because its really not chocolate, cocoa beans are only brown, process to bleach alters the consistency.

Thanks for the feedback ladies!! Crook251 and ciliajones: I plan to prepare them two-and-a-half days before the wedding. They seem to keep well... I made them Friday night and my FI is eating some for breakfast this morning, LOL. As for storage, I'll prob just put them in airtight containers (think Tupperware). But, honestly they made it through this weekend on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper and covered with foil, so I'm sure the containers will be a freshness upgrade.Lovie: Thanks for the almond bark chocolate suggestion... I'll give it a whirl.I'm going to consider this a "check!" ...... Ahhhh, that feels niiiiice.
