What do you do when you are stressed?

Hey Ladies,  I'm having a hard time keeping it together just a lil bit. Well at least I can feel myself starting to stress.  I'm dealing with my own transition right now as well as dealing with Fi's overnight health problems that are turning out to be really serious. Not to mention trying to be there for my single mother little sister (with crazy baby daddy issues).  My usual stress reliever is running or kickboxing, however I am restricted from exercise at the current time due to a hip/sciatic nerve injury. So I coming to you guys asking, What do you do when you are stressed?

Pray and dive into a good, long, mystery novel. Sometimes I'll go online and find those hard crossword puzzels too.

Under "normal" stressful times I love a good book. Pampering myself (mani, pedi) or shopping is always fun (but sometimes short lived if I have more month than money). I try to stay away from food and drink, I'm already beeping when I back up....beep, beeep, beeeep. LOL

I'm terrible when it comes to dealing with stress.  I generally eat :-( Especially mcdonalds french fries and ice cream. but lately i have been finding solace in going to movies alone. not only does it allow time to pass but i can focus on something other than the problems (and I am the queen movie hopper lol - hopefully noone on here works from AMC bc I stay in the theater for at least 2 or 3 movies).  i try going for walks but then my mind just wanders to places it shouldnt go. good luck with everything and happy healing from your injury!

I tend to sleep when I'm very stressed, because it brings on other things like migraines.  If I can't do that, I try to find a quiet spot to sit for a while.

I used to eat which isn't good but recently I began crocheting and reading more; and I have begun praying more.

I also treat myself to something like a mani/pedi or hair do or a good drink

I have very unhealthy methods for dealing with stress...I usually eat A LOT, drink A LOT of wine and spend A LOT of money.  I also cry like a baby and call my friends and family...my poor FI has to hear most of it.  I'm trying to work on employing healthier stress relievers like watching a good movie or reading a good book, but that's not working out so well...in fact, I can use a good bottle (or two) of Riesling right now.

Prayer and meditation is my big thing. I find that God is the best stress reliever of them all.

Sometimes I eat but mostly I listen to music that calms me down or emphasizes the issue so I can process it faster. Before I became preggo, I would exercise like kickboxing or weight training. Prayer is always good too.
