So I got my e-ring appraised about 2 weeks ago. FI and I made a smart purchase in light of the economy and got a previously owned ring from a jeweler. He paid a little over $700 for the ring. (See bio for reference to the rock.)Well, FI and I weren't thinking the ring was going to be worth more than what he paid for. We actually thought it might be worth less because of the clarity and color (we were told it was H-I color and I1-I2 clarity). We couldn't have been so wrong! The ring is actually worth above and beyond what we paid for! Turns out the color and clarity were much, much better (G-color, VS2 clarity). And all those little diamonds in the ring brought a whole lotta value to it. So lesson learned: if you haven't gotten your ring appraised, do it now! You never know how much it's really worth! I think I need to hire a security guard for my ring now, lol!!!
