Can you get part of it done the day before and then get the final part done just before the wedding... that way you have a fresh doo and you are not rushed on the day of.

I agree, you might have all kinds of things pop up on the day of so if she could sew it in the night before and then style it the morning of that might work better.

See that's what I was thinking, thier plan was to get me prepped and do the sew in and style before 9am then do the rest if my running around... I think since I am gonna get a suite at the same hotel as the guests I may just get ready there and help my bridesmaids get ready.... I'm sure there will be some last minute pop ups I just don't wanna be running around messing my hair up

I deplore you to get the hair done if not the day before, the week before and get it styled the morning of the wedding. A sew in takes time and you don't want someone rushing and doing a poor job. In addition It hurts, specifically the first few days, do you really want a headache/sore head the day of your wedding?

As a person that wears sew ins often, you should get it done the day before and just pull it back. The morning of you can the have the stylist to style it for you. If you wait til the morning of HUNNY you will have a headache and sore head , that on top of everything else that will be going on. Day Before most definately.

I know little about sew-ins and weave, but I have rarely read or heard of timelines that work the way they are planned.  I would equate what you are doing to me gettting my sisterlocks retightened the day of my wedding which is a 3 hour task.  No, don't do it.

Get it done the day before and styled the day of.

I would get the sew in done a few days before to give you time to get adjusted to it. I plan to do this since I don't wear weave often, but I know the few times I got a sew in I had to take advil because it was just too tight and it took a few days before it loosened up. I'll probably get my sew in a week before and have it styled the day of the wedding.

have you had a sew in before or get it done often? Has this particular stylist done your hair before? I think you're taking a risk doing it the day of. Get it done about a week before so that you can get accustomed to it and the hair can lay well. What if you don't like how it looks on the day of? I know for me, I'm reallly tenderheaded and I plan on getting mine done about 2 weeks in advance just so that its comfortable for me.

I think I would allot for a little more time than that if I were you...just in case. I am getting my sew in this weekend for my wedding next week. I am just going to have it styled the day of...it will still be fresh AND I won't have to worry about mishaps if I wait til the day of/before.

I haven't had a relaxer in over a year and no one can tell when i get it straightened. Honestly no one can tell when its not. I wasn't blessed with a head full of beautiful thick hair. My hair has always been on the thinner side so it tends to look like hair that needs a touch up soon! You'll be fine, but get that weave 5 days before the wedding so it has time to move and for the pain to simmer.

I agree with pp. That's what i am planning to do get my sew-in the day before the wedding probably just wear the hair straight, then go the next morning to get it curled and styled  so it is fresh.
