Flowers for Grandparents?

Is this required? Trying to cut my flower budget and thinking of just having pin on corsages and boutonnieres for our mothers and fathers.  Not grandparents. What do you think? Why do flowers cost so much!!!

    If you want your grandparents to feel special I would do it, maybe instead of a corsage you can ask the florist to do a pin on female boutonniere with a single flower, it looks more feminine than a regular male boutonniere and usually are in the 6-10 dollar range.
