At my wedding what would you eat most of ? Cupcake/dessert buffet, candy buffet or ice cream buffet with all the fixings ! I really want ice cream with my cupcakes but my mom says it will be a waste of money ! I'm doing cupcakes/a few other small desserts and a candy buffet. FMIL is lactose intolarant, my mom says she's knows she's not not going to eat and she thinks more than half of the guest want it either. My venue is charging 6.75 per person ! What should I do ?

As much as I love ice cream bars, I don't see myself going for it at a wedding. I would stick to something that's easier to eat so I'd probably go after the cupcakes. I wanted an ice cream bar too, but it just wasn't in the budget.

Im also lactose intolerant, so I would prefer the candy buffet. Personally, if you are serving your wedding cake as desert, I wouldn't want cupcakes as well.

Go for the candy. The cupcake is cool, but like PP if ur having wedding cake no need to double. Also the ice cream can be all messy on us women's clothes....not a good look!

Cupcakes is the wedding cake..only odering about 60 for about 80 guest. They candy is a favor as well as something else not sure what yet tho ! May need help with that later. FI fam is not big on cake so its cheaper and less waste to go the cupcake way ! Most likely not doing the ice cream just wanted others op ! Thanks girls !

as much as the fat girl in me loves ice cream i would not eat it at a wedding

see if you can get a small bowl just for you to have with your cake....

i know i will try that i love ice cream with my cake

Are you having alcohol? If so, this might not mix well with ice cream. If I were a guests I would only eat the cupcakes.

Yes there will be alcohol and just thought about that too..I might just do what thedivav said and just do a personal bowl for mr and FI cause he loves ice cream too !! I gotta have ice cream with my cupcake lol..just being the fat girl I am ! Lol

As much as I love Ice cream, I probably wouldn't eat it either. Ice cream and alcohol don't mix.. I'm doing the candy bar as well for a favor.. Save the money on the ice cream bar...

Yea I'm definitly doing the cupcakes instead of a regular cake and the candy buffet ! After added it up and sees it will be over 350 just for 60 ppl I rather use it towards the HM !! Thanks ladies !

I work in the the food industry part time and I can tell you from experience that an icecream will be a mess real quick. I would suggest the cake/dessert buffet

The cupcakes would be the pretties and most appealing to me, but knowing me and my tendencies....I'd be eating off that candy bar...ALL NIGHT LONG. I'm a serial candy killer so....that's just my opinion.

Cupcakes... but ice cream is good... If I went to a wedding and they didn't have ice cream though, I wouldn't be like "I can't believe they served me a cupcake! Where's the ice cream?!" Save that $$$

IKR...I talked to my catering lady today. I'm just doing the cupcakes and a small cake to cut into and the candy buffet ! Knowing me ill probably be munching on the candy thru out the night anyway and want even miss the ice cream ! So to save 405..yea NO ICE CREAM !!
