What are you DIYing...

I'm curious as to what everyone is DIY.  We're doing the flowers, decor and invites ourselves.Now..... share!  Extra points if you have pictures :)

I'm planning on doing my own invites and save the dates as well as programs. I think. It kind of scares me, but my sister is really good with that stuff. I'll probably do part of the ceremony decorations as well like the ring pillow and flowers girl baskets. I want to do something (haven't decided yet) hanging from shepards hooks going down the aisle so depending on what it is I'll probably do those myself as well. No pics yet - just getting started!! :)

Man - it feels like it would be easier to ask what I'm NOT DIYing. Here goes...*All things paper: invites, map cards for at the ceremony site to reception, programs, menu labels, all signs*tissue pomanders*tissue/crepe flowers (considering, for around the gazebo)*CP flowers*iPod DJ*pound cakes, scones, fruit trays for tea party reception*BP gifts (undecided yet if that means jewelry, handbags, or both)*favors if we decide to do themAnd I'm probably forgetting stuff.

I am doing ceremony decor myself, centerpieces, all paper products including invites, menu cards, table numbers, place cards (FI insists we have them). I am also planning to diy my bridesmaids bouquets. We'll see though how that goes and how I feel. PIB of my DIY so far.

Right now, just the centerpieces. I'm trying to DIY as little as possible, so I don't end up with more work than I can finish in the weeks before the wedding.

[link]http://tinyurl.com/y8fvy8w[/link] My mom made it for me. The ribbon that's wrapped around the handle is ribbon that I saved from when H bought me flowers for my 25th bday. I saved it specifically to wrap around the my bouquet. That's half the reason why I picked black and white as part of our wedding colors.

that is so cute. your bouquet is gorgeous. did your mom have any anxiety about making it and it not looking good? it looks beautiful. i'm just worried ill screw it up but i'd love to make it myself.

emilyasiegel-  a deal you can't refuse?  I need to get me one of those!  Especially with a florist.  I definitely think DIY can be fun, but overwhelming for a lot of the stuff that needs to be done last minute.

Agree with Sara:  UW- your bouquet is gorgeous.  I hope mine doesn't look like a mangled mess.  I love the crystal detail.

Thanks guys! My mom plays around with arranging flowers a lot, so I don't think she was freaking out. Or if she did, she didn't tell me. :)

Jennlin-- I could see my other half doing that if given a project.  He said he would contact DJs and when I asked him about it (2 weeks later) he still hadn't done it.  Although, he did our STDs and they were awesome and everyone was raving about them.  He spent HOURS on them.

the hardest part was getting the top done to be removable....and to put a card slot on it. the directions didn't say how to do it and just told you about options (nailing down, velcro, hinges, lock, etc...), and didn't tell you anything about making a slot...i don't know what DH ended up doing...but it worked :)otherwise, it's pretty easy..buy 4 same sized picture frames (we used 8x10). use L-brackets to nail them together (8 total, 2 per inside corner). nail a bottom wood piece to it (cover in fabric, pretty paper, or paint, first....we covered in fabric). and the top, we covered in fabric and used super strong velcro to hold it down. be sure to cut a slot on the top, too.
