but anyone remember who stood me up and cost me $70 (was supposed to go to a museum exhibit with me, told me twice to buy the tickets and then bailed). I am really, really tempted to invite her alone (without a guest) even though she has a girlfriend, knowing full well she probably wouldn't come then since she'd have to travel from CA alone.I wonder if she's bought her flight already??

Duh I totally forgot she'd probably come from for Christmas anyway since her fam is in NJ.Jenn--no, I have not met the gf! And truth be told this is the second "oh-so-serious" one in like a year.

I say invite just her.  If you've never met her new GF and they haven't been together that long, then no need to invite both of them.  And yes, it'd be a nice subtle way to get back at her.  Plus, she can't say you didn't invite her - she'll just have a dilema on her hands: to go without the GF or not attend?

Just invite her and seat her somewhere where her chair gets bumped by waiters or other guests...all the time! Then slip the stub from the museum exhibit in the napkin fold of her placesetting. Oh, would that be mean/rude? My bad!
