Killing two birds with one stone

So in a few hours, I will have my 1st dress fitting and get my bridesmaids to finally select a dress. Decided to just do it all in one day. For some reason though, I am pretty nervous. I think it's partly because I have barely looked at or even tried on my dress since I brought it home, and because I've heard different horror stories of relationships being ruined at bridesmaid dress appts and whatnot. I'm gonna go into with an optimistic mentality though; everyone's experiences are not the same so maybe there will be no drama. Any tips or suggestions from you ladies out there before I go?

  • Can't offer too much advice...just keep a positive attitude and do not let yourself get stressed out over too much!!! I hope you a drama-free and fun-filled day!
Let us know how it goes :)
  • All I can say is relax, crack jokes, and plain have some fun.  I had a blast with my girls trying on BM dresses.  They were a hoot too.  We went to dinner afterwards (my treat) and just acted silly.  It was a lot of fun.  I was pretty laid back about their dresses.  All I asked for was the color.  They pretty much know my sense of style so it was easy to tell by my face what  I thought about a dress.

For your fitting just make sure you don't lock your knees and take some water.   Have fun!!

    Love is the ultimate superpower.
It can make you weak and strong simultaneously.

  • Update: Thank you, ladies for the advice and tips. Things went so well in the appt, except for one minor snafu (one of my bridesmaids decided to go MIA). Thankfully, my mom was there to calm my worries. My red rhinestone studded shoes were a hit in the fitting department (mom still is trying to get used to em---she thinks I should be in white from head to toe. I told her no one can see em unless I lift the dress so she can just pretend they're white lol). I did make sure to take a bottle of water but I didn't really need it, although a young lady next to me getting her bridesmaid dress fitted could have used it (she got woozy and had to take frequent breaks---she admitted that she hadn't eaten anything beforehand). And I still was in love with my dress as much as the 1st time I put it on, so that worry is gone....phew! My reliable bridesmaid who showed up, did choose a dress and I am so happy for that. And to top it off, my mom found her dress so we technically killed 3 birds with 1 stone (we're good lol). Thanks again, for the advice.
