NWR: Good seafood restaurant?

I am looking for someplace nice, waterfront to have a birthday dinner for fi next month. Probably for about 12 people, not at saltys. Any ideas?

There is always Ivars. You can sit and watch the ferries. There is also Elliott's which is a couple blocks further down by the argosy dock and it has really good food. These are both on the water front in downtown.

I second Elliots!  Anthony's is always decent too.

Shilshole Bay in Ballard offers Anthony's and Ray's Boathouse, both are really nice and right on the water. Parking is usually no sweat and I know for sure that Anthony's offers a private dining room. I really like it because it's some place nice yet laid back. If you want something fancier then I would look into Chandler's Crabhouse (South Lake Union) or Palisade's in Magnolia. Hope this helps :)

Rays Boathouse or Anthony's on Shilshole! Both great food and amazing views of the water!

I second Palisade, but it's a bit more on the expensive side.  For something a bit more reasonable I'd try Chinook's at Salmon Bay in Magnolia (part of Anthony's) - they are both very good and I don't think you can go wrong with either

Waterfront Seafood Grill at Pier 70. Super yummy but also super expensive. They do an awesome Baked Alaska that is flamed tableside and serves more than one. Really special and fun!

I second Jessie's Boy's vote for Waterfront Seafood Grill. It's one of my favorite restaurants in all of Seattle. Owned by the same company as El Gaucho. It's not cheap, though.

Tangent - FI and I were walking down on the waterfront, right past the Crab Pot, when one tourist says to another, "Oh, no one serves good clam chowder in Seattle!"FI and I just looked at each other and laughed.  :)

I vote Ray's Boathouse. I don't even like seafood, but I like eating there. And it's right on the Locks, it's awesome!
