Greatest Gift FI/H Gave You

Sooooo I saw this topic on the "Chit Chat" board and thought it would be a fun, NWR topic to have.... just to chit chat

*Engagement Ring or Wedding doesn't count!

For me, FI took us on a trip to Memphis.  He drove there and bought me tickets to fly into Memphis after I had visited my family in Jersey.  We stayed in a beautifull hotel, went to a famous BBQ restaurant, and of course we had to go down to B.B. Kings Blues Club!  He bought us almost front row tickets to the Memphis Grizzlies Basketball game, and to finish up the night.... a horse and carriage ride!!! 

If I had to pick a second.... he surprised me with two dozen roses at my dance concert.  He sent the to the house and had my mother bring them to my show!

<div>It's deep but soooooooooo true!  Earlier today I was just telling FI how much I cherish him and his love!  I was telling him how I have never experienced such a love like his before!  So I am totally there with you! </div>

So glad you enjoyed Memphis!  Beale Street is always a good time.  BB Kings has a live band on Saturdays and they sing all the oldies I grew up hearing. 

To answer the post, for my 30th birthday, FI told me to pack a bag and he wouldn't tell me where we were going. He took me on a trip to New Orleans!  We were down there when the Saints were in the super bowl.  It was an expeience I will NEVER forget!  Then to top that off, every time I went to pay for something, FI told me, "you can put that away, you don't need it."  Yall I was grinning showing ALL my teeth.  LOL  I told him "you go boy!" (in my Martin voice).

I love this topic FI has given me many great gifts and even a trip to Mexico!

....But I would definitely have to say the best gift would have to be our first Valentine's Day... he decorated the room with rose petails, teddy bears and candles.. it was so beautiful. I was at the hair salon and had no idea... he and my grandmother were stalling me like crazy! LOL! I looked on the bed and saw he had a two page HAND WRITTEN letter... I didn't know men did those anymore, he brought me to tears! I was so happy

New computer. LOL.  H isn't really romantic or lovey dovey so my gifts have all been pretty lame compared to what yall have received.

But I like them so its all good.

Wow, I'd be floored if he wrote me a letter, I would think someone has kidnapped him and brought back an imposter. LOL  That's cute!!!

AWW a handwritten letter is so sweet. My favorite gift was a blender and lean cuisines!! Lol , when I got my first real job teaching, I would always leave the house so early I wouldn't eat breakfast and forget to pack lunch. he hated that I wasn't eating properly and would get upset everyday when he asked me what I ate. We live 2 hours apart so after my first 2 weeks at work he drove down and bought me a blender and smoothie mixes and like 20 Lean cuisines so I could have quick lunches and breakfasts. It was soo cute to me because every week he came he would count my lean cuisines to make sure I was eating lunch ,lol. I love that he cared so much about me.

Awe I love this topic. 

FI took me on a week long trip to Disneyland.  We drove down early in the morning  listening and singing to the music.  He took me to dinner and then we went to the hotel and relaxed all evening so we would be rested up for Disneyland the next day.  Now get this 20 minutes before we head out to Disneyland "Aunt Flo" comes to town.  We get to Disneyland have breakfast.  Then I get SICK AS A DOG!!!!  Throwing up in the bushes and all.  It was all bad.  We had only been there for like 45 minutes.  I was so sick we had to leave.  He didn't complain or anything.  I felt so bad.  We got back to the hotel and he took such good care of me.  Rubbed my belly, held my hair as I got sick, brought me a heating pad.  Now mind he paid for tickets to get into Disneyland and we were there only 45 minutes and had to leave.  He never said a word about it.  Just kept telling me to get better. 

Oh but it gets better I finally fell asleep and when I woke up I was fine.  No more cramps or nausea.  FI knew I wanted to see the movie Just Wright with Common and Queen Latifah.  So he bought a DVD player and the DVD.  He hid them both in the trunk.  While I was asleep he set it all up in the hotel room.  So that night we snuggled in bed and watched the movie.  I was wonderful.  The next day we went back to Disneyland and had a blast.  Then the next few days we spend  sightseeing in Beverly Hills, and LA.  Of course he played golf one of those day with a friend but he left me some $$$ to go shoe shopping. LOL  Oh how I love my pumpkin!!!

Awe this exactly!! I think our FIs are related!! I was going to write about this as soon as I saw the topic. I do the same thing as you--forget to get lunch(well dinner since I work nights). FI and I live 4 hours away so he can't just stock up food for me as quickly, but he does call the local restaurants and gets my food delivered to me. He'll call me at work and say don't turn away the delivery guy from "XYZ" restaurant; the food is yours and paid for. So please eat!

For a very long time FI and I were long distance so for our second date FI came for a visit. He promised me dinner and  movie and I thought he was going to take me out but he surprised me by cooking for me.  He asked what my favorite meal (lasagna) was and made it for me.  He also made me a strawberry shortcake and white chocolate covered strawberries.  His last present to me was a big stuffed polar bear I could keep to remind me of him when he wasn't here.  Somehow the polar bear smelled like him and I slept with it for a long time.  Then I had a fire at my townhouse and lost the bear to the fire.  Fast forward several years and for my birthday this past March FI found a very simiIar bear for me.  I love it and yep it smells like him too it.  It's never far from me but then again I now have the real thing with me.
