I'm going to my first visit to the bridal salon....

tomorrow, and for some reason I am very nervous. I don't want to be emotional and start crying, but I know thats not controllable. What should I expect? I think when it comes to a dress i am going to have issues committing.. LOL.. SMH. Anyone want to share their experiences going for the first time. I will be sure to take a pic of the gowns i try on..

  • When I went I tried on about 10 different gowns. I ended up picking dress #3 that day. My MOH liked the dress but was upset that I only went to one salon. But like I told her, when you know that's the ONE then there is no need to continue looking. My advice is to be open-minded. Try on everything even if you don't think you will like it. I went into the salon thinking that I was going to get the Maggie Satero Adorae, although it was a very beautiful dress and I loved it, I left with something the complete opposite of that.

  • Don't judge a dress on the hanger. Try it on. I ended up buying the dress that the sales person recommended that I thought was so ugly when it was on the hanger. Come with pictures as a guide for the sales person. Once you do find the dress make sure you read the contract carefully to make sure that it has:

    *Correct Make/Color/Style number/Size
    * An anticipated delivery date
    *If all sales are final
    *Deposit amount and balance due date
    *Estimate of alterations or price if it is a flat rate
