Help Me Please.!

Trying to figure out my reception timeline. I'm having a late Friday night wedding, 6:30-7pm. Lets go with 7. Do we get introduced and then go straight into the first dance?? Or get introduced, eat an appetizer, dance and then eat entrees?? When do the speeches happen and cake cutting.?? I'm confused.

  • Can the appetizers be served immediately following the ceremony while u & the BP are taking pix like a cocktail hour? I like the 1st dance right after the intro.

Ro - Thanks. I have to put this in with my times to see how it works. Since our start time is so late, we had to cut 30mins off our cocktail hour. We have our reception ballroom until 11:30. I just want to make sure everything fits in.

LadyCane - Sorry hun, I meant serve the salad and then have toasts. We have apps at cocktail hour, which is really cocktail half hour, so we'll probably have some left come dinner time.

Yea. I wanted 6:30 for more time, but at the same time, 7pm works more because of the Friday rush hour work traffic. We'll stay with 6:30, though. Our guests know its traffic, I'm sure they'll take the right precautions to be there on time.
