African American Weddings

What a good boy my FI is....

So Fi and I went out to lunch this past weekend to discuss some wedding details and to be honest, he started being a tad bit more involved then I preferred for him to be.  So I reluctantly agreed to some of his suggestions and I left it alone.  This morning he called me at work and said he had to talk to be about something.  So I was thinking OMG, what now?  He said I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to let you plan our wedding and I just want to be able to show up.  He said he prayed about it last night and concluded that decided that he didn't care about any of these minor details that we were talking about.  He said he understood that the wedding is more about the bride and if I want it, HE wants it.  He told me whatever I want him to wear, he will, or whatever I want him to do, he will.  Even though, I don't plan on changing any of the things we agreed upon during our talk at lunch, it really did make me feel happy that he said what he said.

So just to test it out, I asked a few questions related to the wedding and now his response to everything is, "I don't know, what do you think".  Once I say what I think, he says "then that's what I think too."  What a mess he is  Wink

That's great news!  My FI is hands-on with everything, especially the budget, LOL.  Sometimes, I wish he would take a back seat and say "do whatever you want, Bae."  But honestly, I think I enjoy having his input.  But I think it's still wonderful that you are going to keep and incorporate his ideas that he already shared with you.

    Girl... that's wassup!..

I wish my FI was like that.. I opened up my big mouth and told him that I wanted him to be involved... WRONG THING TO DO!!.. that man has his hands in EVERYTHING.. even picked out the colors (which I actually love.. so kudos to him)!

He's not as much all in the mix now because he's more involved with the moving process and stuff.. sooo AMEN to that..

You're lucky he prayed on that girl... cuz you could've had a mini groomzilla on your hands (like I do...lol)

    That's beautiful!

I have a FI who is completely hands-off, and it drives me nuts. Maybe I should just leave well enough alone. LOL

Thats awesome! I love when the FI says they want to be involved until we get into the nitty gritty details. Well at least he has your back either way!

Its so much easier if they stay out the way and let you work your magic.

Mine helped put together DIY stuff and every once in awhile had input but he really just was along for the ride.  His only task was to get Himself and his GM's fitted and make sure they showed up, oh and get a hair cut.
