Dear 67 Guests of my wedding who still haven't responded,

I urge you to send your RSVP in right away. The deadline is 6.22 and I am afraid that if you dont send it in, we WILL mark you as not attending and therefore make no exceptions when you try to send it in later, or call our parents to plead.

You see this is the reason why the invitations were sent out on May 13th, precisely 1 month ago, oh and why the save the date's were sent precisely 6 months ago.

While we would LOVE to keep our count at the present number of 176 we know there are quite a few of you who are just lazy and have no sense of urgency to get the rsvp in the mail. Is it perhaps b/c it's not on your dime so your not pressed? My dearest 67 this is not a hum drum occassion, we've been planning for 2yrs and would really appreciate your cooperation.

So please respond, and I hope the majority of you are indeed a "no" so that we're comfy in this cushiony number of 176.

LOL!  Girl why did two of FI's cousins just try to RSVP to our wedding a few days ago?  Mind you, we're getting married in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS.  FI tried calling, texting, emailing, reaching out on Facebook...before our RSVP deadline to see if they could come - and they never responded.  

Now not only did they RSVP through FI's parents (didn't have the sense to contact FI directly), they told his parents that they had tried calling FI multiple times and he never returned their calls.  SMH!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad you both are sticking to your guns. FI & my mom are on the same accord that if we don't receive the rsvp card postmarked by the 22nd YOU ARE NOT COMING

Exactly right.  I was so glad FI said "no way" to their RSVPs before I even had to open my mouth.  I don't understand how people have no concept of what it takes to plan an event and also a basic level of respect for family and/or friends!!!

while i am SO thrilled about this wedding I am DELIGHTED that i only have 5weeks left of planning. the sheer inconsideration of people amazes me.

My mother keeps stressing me out about this guest list and calculating every time it goes up and it's giving me the chills b/c all she keeps saying is "your father is going to have a FIT" and i wanna say so bad "dont stress me out more than i already am woman" lol

Precisely why I really truly hope and pray that no more than 200 people come! Not that we can't afford it if 220 come but 200 is a more reasonable number.

I should have never let this list get so dang on big in the 1st place but you cannot cry over spilled milk so....que sera sera

My wedding is not until next year but OH I know my family!!  They are gonna wait until the last minute to cofirm!  My answer to them HELL TO THE NAW!!  I am already sending out FB announcements to them telling them the save the dates will be coming soon and to get ready for the invitations.  I will have a drop dead date on the invite and if they don't respond by then they are not to come!  I can already see this train wreck coming!!!  Sad thing is the ones who I know will wait until the last minute are the family members I don't want to come anyway. DRAMA STARTERS!!!!!

Okay sorry I had to get that off my chest.  I feel better now.  Thank you ladies for letting me vent!!!

I'm with Cat... My family makes me sick with their senses of entitlement. I'll tell my own momma she can't sit down if she is too lazy to check a box and mail the SELF ADDRESSED STAMPED envelope back. FI thinks I'm nuts to want to send out STD's earlier than normal and invites a whopping 45-60 days before the wedding. I HATE excuses as they are tools... you know the rest.

OH and did I mention that since I have such a HUGE family that most of the invites are going to them but if they don't RSVP I am sending out a second round of invites to other people I wanted to invite but couldn't because of $$.  I ain't playing with these people.  Get on the bus at the right time or your seat is getting taken by someone else!

We are budgeted for 150 at the wedding.  Which means 75 for him and 75 for me.  55 of the people invited to the wedding on my side are family.  THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE MY BP and there husbands!!!  Right now I have 79 people on my guest list and I gotta cut 4 people which is stressful enough.  I have people almost everyday tellin me "I know I'm getting an invite to your wedding right?"  This guest list is stressing me out!!!! 

Deep breath Cat!  Deep breath!  I might need to go get a pedi at lunch time to claim myself down.  Lord Jesus these people just don't know.  I am just waiting for one of them to get out of line!  I am ready to snap!!!   DEEP BREATH!!!

@ A&M_Abyss: Lol....that letter is TOO funny girl!! I know you're not laughing, but I find it hilarious cause I so wish I had that to send to folks during my rsvp nightmare days! I couldn't believe how folks were trying to rsvp the week of the wedding. Smh....my hubby is so nice & passive, so I was handling that and telling folks "too late". And I didn't care how they felt about me afterwards. People.....smh.
