I am still so giddy and I feel so blessed and loved after having a weekend I will remember for the rest of my life. I told my girls I didn't want a bridal shower, just a girls weekend and that was it. I had no idea what they had planned. I didn't even know the date, even though I did start to get suspicious that something was going to happen this weekend, but what they did for me was beyond my imagination.
The Surprise
So I met up with one of my bridesmaids who made an appointment for us to get brazillians. This was my first, OMG soooo painful but worth it. Initially I wanted her to push the appointment back a few weeks, but she insisted it be friday, that got me a little suspicious but they had me fooled on so many levels. She made up some work story about why we had to stop at the W Hotel in Manhattan, it was a few blocks from the spa, she works for the hotel's parent company so of course I believed her. We go up to the room and when the door opens everyone yells suprise. I couldn't help but cry when I saw 12 of my giirls. Some had travelled from Cali and Arizona to NY for this and still plan to come back in 3 weeks for the wedding. All of my linesisters were there, my sisters, cousins and best friend. I was just so overwhelmed by the love. But it was just the beginning.
Even More Surprises
So they put a crown with a veil on my head and a shirt that said future Mrs. />>>. They all had shirts too and little pink crowns. We hung out in the room for a bit had some drinks then all 13 of us got on the subway all liquored up with our bachelorette party shirts and crowns on, everyone in our car were having fun with us. The next stop was pole dancing class. There were two other bachelorette parties there, we had so much fun. After we learned some pole techniques it was just a big girl party and danced the night away.
Surprises Just Don't Stop
The next morning they wake me up early and when I go downstairs there is a llmo outside our hotel. We ride to Long Island to go wine tasting. We went to three wineries, the last one had a bbq and dj, sooooo much fun. The wine was amazing, the wineries were beautiful and I felt like a VIP all day.
The Big Finish
After wine tasting we came back to the city and changed our clothes. We get in a cab and I have no idea where we are going, I'm trying to guess and no one will say a word. We get out of the cab and I know the area, but didn't know the venue. We go inside and I see a girl with a penis balloon on her head and a drag queen, so now I'm confused. Turns out it was a drag queen cabaret and we had a blast. There was all kinds of risque entertainment and yes it was very entertaining. We left there and went to a club and then back to the room to hang out some more. We ended the weekend with brunch.
It as an amazing weekend and I feel so blessed and loved. My girls really went all out for me. This means even more to me now because a few months ago I ended a 15 year old friendshp with a now former bridesmaid. She was not missed this weekend. After seeing how many people love and support me, I have no reason to subject myself to drama and negativity.
