I visited 4 venues this week and I'm already sick of visiting venues.
The 1st one was a no-go from the start. It's a bed & breakfast with gardens, and I liked the price and the gardens from what I saw online. But when I got there, the B&B smelled funny and the "gardens" looked like someone's unkempt backyard.
I loved the 2nd one because the event manager was great, the ballroom was really pretty, the gardens were nice, and the price was good. An added bonus is that all proceeds from using the place go to hospice to pay for people without private insurance. Drawback, the color scheme of the facility would totally clash with the colors I want for my wedding. They have a brown, ivory, and green motif, and I'm going for pool blue, black, and white.
The 3rd one was ok. I liked the fact they do everything for you, but their gazebo looked a lil low-budget. The reception room was on point though and I love the horse and carriage they have.
The 4th one was all I was looking for until I met the owner. Can we say redneck? He not only acted like he didn't like minorities, but he tried to convince me not to have my wedding at his facility. I was taken aback. He was so rude and I left with a really bad taste in my mouth and so did FI.
After this week, I really don't feel like making any more appointments because it's all so stressful.
