Open them so you can go ahead and send thank you cards... Something I've yet to do. I'm almost done writing them, tho. Lol. Don't judge me.

I opened them and sent thank you cards ASAP. As for the checks (actual checks) I sent a thank you card and then cashed the check two days later.

I say open together.. I agree with getting the Thank You cards out of the way. People really appreciate them!

Then come back and tell us what you got!

The gifts that i've gotten have all been from my registries and are all nicely wrapped up with a card attached. I plan on opening them at my bridal shower. I opened the card to know who it was from, and then sent a thank u card. With the checks i deposited them and sent a card ASAP.

We are going to wait until after the wedding because I know some people will send a gift and not attend the wedding. So when I send out thank you notes, I want to say thank you for the gift & being at the wedding OR the gift OR attending the wedding (no gift), etc.... sounds confusing but I'm all about mulit-tasking.

I want to send out thank you notes one time and be done with it.

Open them and send thank you cards.  Most of the gifts I received I didn't open until after the wedding.  I did open them to see who sent them so I could send a card but didn't use them til after.

Shoot I still have 30 gifts that I haven't used, we are still trying to find space to put them up.  Our house looks like the wedding was this past weekend. ha.

We opened them as they arrived so we could send thank you cards ASAP. I kept a spreadsheet of gifts recieved, when they were received, and the date the thank you card was sent.
