Don't get me wrong I am so thrilled that my FI is excited about our wedding but I told him that we should NOT talk about it all the time around family and friends. If someone asks how it is going lets just say "everything is going great" and leave it at that.

WELL....we were invited to a friend's BBQ. And a female friend of his asks how is everything coming along with the wedding planning. Here he goes, talking about how I'm researching clothes and looking for a seamstress and looking for jewelry.

OMG!!!!

Here comes all the unwanted suggestions and advice. One friend went so far to say, "don't worry, I have a friend and we will make an appointment to do XYZ.....
I gave my FI a look that would have killed. Driving home in the car he knew I was annoyed. He knows I don't want to get any "hook-ups" I want to work with professional vendors with reviews. The only help I want is from you ladies.

So again, I had to remind him that NEXT time someone asks about our wedding, Just say we have everything we need. No need to say anything else! Thanks for letting me vent! I don't know why he can't just zip it. LOL!

LOL!  I think it is great that he is so excited about the wedding and is eager to talk about it.  However, I can see how his "loose lips" could cause you issues with unsolicited help.  Hang in there!

Lol, it's good that he knows what's going on. My FH doesn't have a clue. And it's probably for the best as far as we're concerned.

LOL..aww it's cute that he's in the know about what's going on but ugh to all the "I have a friend...." or "my cousin does(fill in the blank)".  Thanks but no thanks.......we are always bombarded with suggestions.  Luckily we dodged a few this weekend with your exact response of "everything is GREAT!!".  I'm sure he knows for next time

Awwwwwww, he's extra excited. That part is cute, but what is not cute is everybody trying throw in ideas and stuff. LOL a mess

I think he knows better now not to say anything, because people always want to throw their two cents in the mix.

My FI is just like that, hopefully he sees and understands your point of view after what happened. It's so funny looking back at things now because I don't talk openly about the wedding and when people ask him he refers them back to me. When he does this, they just drop it. He gets it now.

He sounds like my FI. Diarhea of the mouth left and right that's kind of why I gave him select info only. He talks too much and wouldn't leave anything up for the element of surprise. BE QUIET DUDE LOL!! Its cute that he is enthusiastic but shut your face man lol.
