Yes...I have a vent too..so sorry my story relates to MrsBoss and the rest of you !!

Like MrsB..my mom doesn't just know how to say if that's what you want then go ahead or after I make it sound nice " o ok..I see what u mean..it'll be nice" ex: me: mom, I want to buy pic frames paint the glass chalkboard and then use for the menu on each table...ill do 2. mom: this aint high school..that will be tackey. me: I'm tryna cut down on paper and that's kinda of a new thing now. mom: why they need a menu anyway when they walk up to the buffet they'll see what it is..this argument went on for 20 mins I even showed her pics she don't like..let I mind you she's only paying for the dress and shoes ! So I told her she can only have an op about that...if she wants to help with the decor then that's when she can have an op about that as well !

Me and FI have paid out over 1200 already on dep's, and some decor and still gots more to do !!! So when you put in then you can have your 2 cents !!! Uggghh..what are we gonna do about these mamas ?!

Girl I just updated my post and I went ahead and had a talk with my mother. I explained the convo. Yours sounds just like my mom! She'll dog the idea and then after I explain will be like "well ok I didn't understand. that sounds nice." mmhhmmm. I know weddings are different but when you had your bridesmaids in sailors HATS that was the style back then and ya'll were the bomb! So just let me do things how I want. A polite critique is ok but its the way they say it. UGHHH!!! We can't let them stress us! I'll be bringing my ideas right here where I know ya'll will tell me the truth without crushing my feelings and you will help me search for alternatives instead of just shooting down the idea.

Girl I just read your other post...that's what I'm saying they act like whatever they say is supposed to be fine and we just supposed to say its there or no way ! And why do we have to schedule things around other people ?! I mean if they can't make it owell..its about me and FI not them. If they want to come that bad they should make other arrangements not me !! Girl another issue is the bar talkin' bout you should do just wine and beer and your 2 sig drinks that will make your wedding more classy ! So you saying if I serve liquor my wedding won't be classy ?! Girlllll..honey chile ! I'm like you...my mom has always been there..you can say I'm a mama girl but if she don't get herself together she will get her pink slip too !!!
