**Clickish Boards**

Are you ladies part of any other boards such as your state or city board, month board etcc? It seems like some of these boards are really clickish. Do you see that on some of the boards or is it just me.

I go on the Cincinnati board somewhat regularly, but don't post a lot.  I mostly read comments to get ideas/advice regarding local vendors.

I have noticed that certain posters get more "love" than others on that board, so I think sometimes others remain lurkers b/c they are not in the popular, vocal group.

Right that is a perfect example. I lurk like I don't know what on some of the boards for that very reason.

I somewhat post on the Houston board. I mainly go look for AA girls to bring over here. YEAH, I said it! And I post on the DIY board. Other than that, I don't like to post nor lurk. Lurking pisses me off and I don't know what they be talking about!

I lurk on the Philly boards but can't stand the ideal of them telling others that if you dont spend $$$$$$$$$ on your wedding then its cheap... I dont know about yall but I dont believe starting a marriage and new life with debt...unless its student loans...

I usually post  on my wedding month board (January 2011) and they keep it nice and act like mature grown folk.  I visit and occasionally post on the Houston board, but it's pretty dead most of the time.

I made the mistake of lurking on the Favor board today (things are EXTREMELY slow here at work right now) and had to leave because they were literally biting this poster's head off because she made the "mistake" of asking about giving a donation instead of giving favors!  One poster had to remind the others that they shouldn't be so mean and respect the poster's question.

I truly look forward to the AAW board and what the ladies have to say, ask, etc....

I post on the Detroit Board. Those ladies are awesome as well and very helpful but I don't think there are any other AA's on that board besides myself and one other bride.

I post on the September 2011 board but a lot of the ladies there are very very young and I cant relate to some of the stuff they talk about but they are still nice.

I would say that this is the best board I have been on or lurked on. I do lurk on the recap and withdrawal board just from tips from the ladies that have recaps.

When I first joined I posted on one board before finding this one and the responses were a mess. Since then I'm more attached to this board and rarely go to any of the other boards at the exception of the DIY board but I usually don't post anywhere but here.

I know black women get a bad rap for having attitudes and not uplifting one another but this board has been the best board I have EVER been on in my life (well, at the exception of the mjsite board back in 2001Embarassed). Every other board I have been on with the pigment challanged (sorry if that seems rude, I'm not trying to beInnocent) have been drama filled. IDK what it is about message boards and the internet that make people so rude and condescending.

A little off topic, but I also agree with rodeo about the money thing with weddings though. Look, I'm broke and not afraid to say so but the way some people act when it comes to weddings and money is just crazy. It actually makes a person self conscience and not want to comment sometimes when people act like your wedding won't be $h!t unless you're spending 20K and up. I'm a DIY, budget oriented bride. I think it's crazy how much people spend on weddings only for them to still look like cookie cutter affairs...not knocking anyone who actually has the funds to have the wedding of their dreams, but when you go into debt just to show out, I think there's something alot deeper going on with you.

I go on the March 2011 board & some of those ladies are down right mean sometimes! If you post "incorrectly" or anything they think is "wrong" they are quick to tell you (in a rude fashion)! I like this board as well as the DIY board.

Ditto!  Hence why I'm on this board even when I'm in 'lurk' mode, I still visit this board more than my local board just because of the high school clickish B.S. I've noticed...

I post on the Students board from time to time to vent about school with a few of the ladies on there. They are pretty cool but I've noticed a lot of them are very young and some of the ladies are pretty rude to the younger women on there. I posted on the Military Brides board once and boy were they rude also, I still lurk on there from time to time and they are quite clickish and rude. My month board is pretty cool, but all in all this board is the best!!!  My local board is pretty dead

Totally agree!  If I'm not on this board then I'm on my local board, but that board seems to be dead all of the time.  I mostly lurk on the July 2011 board and respond to postings from time to time, but those girls are MEAN and there's one girl in particular (I'm going to go ahead and call that heifa out! - Epolos89) who I swear if I saw her in public I'd slap her.  She's so incredibly rude and what pisses me off is she likes to judge people for their choices.  For instance, there was a topic about stay at home moms vs. working moms, and I'll be in the working moms category.  She all but called me a bad person for wanting to work.  The point is, it's ok to agree to disagree, but a lot of those girls like to judge people for the choices they make.  And I do feel like a lot of them are in cliques.  I'll just stick to this board since we all act like we have some sense!

My local board, South Florida, is just as active as this board for the most part. The ladies on the board are very nice and offer good advice but it is clickish at times.  If you didnt attend a GTG then you're basically not a part of the circle. I used to post a lot but nowadays I find myself lurking cause the "click" use the board like their personal chatroom.  They even have Videochat nites with each other at times.

    AAW all the way.

I kind of found that my local area board weren't diverse enough. Whenever I'd make comments it's like nobody would respond. I found that to be kind of rude. Or when I offered advice it wasn't ever responded too. At that point I said oh okay this isnt my style no probssss I am out. Sometimes you just have to step back into reality land. I tried my hand a couple of times and I was done.
