So this afternoon I was checking my bank account online when I got a HUGE surprise - a $5K surprise to be exact! I didn't know the money was coming my way at all. Basically it's some form of BACK chld support for my children but I'll be holding on to it for a while to help with not only some things they need but a few small wedding items. I know that may sound a little bad but let me explain first. My ex was a low down, too intelligent, canniving (sp??) man who had no problem being abusive towards me so 5 years ago I took my kids and ran (literally). And in those 5 years he has opted NOT to see them, nor willingly take care of them until a judge ordered him to do so and then he still ended up only paying CS because we forcibly took it from his military retirement. So needless to say he owes me WAY back. Either way our lives are MUCH better now!
I know it may sound wrong but the best lesson he taught me was to always watch your back and handle your business. Now my kids really don't want for anything material and the only thing I really need to pay for now are their summer camp fees, a few kid related bills (braces, etc) and maybe some summer clothes.
I know that was maybe an overshare but I was so happy today because since I'm in school now , I don't work as much and my paycheck is really too short for my comfort level.
Anyway - Thank you Jesus for providing a little extra breathing room for me right now.
. I just had to get that off my chest.
