You Didn't Make The RSVP Cut.:(

I see alot of you ladies are stressing on family and friend's RSVP'in.

My question is if they do not RSVP are they still able to attend the reception?

What if they come bearing gifts?

Will you bend the rules on your wedding day?

I'm asking Because my Hubby and I don't want to do a seating chart. were just sitting the important people that's close to us. after that it's every man for themselves.
So I thought of making a list of all guest that RSVP'D.

I don't want to deal with the extra stress of having too many people and not enough food. And i surly don't want unwanted guest.

If you have creative ideas to work this list in with out being rude do share!!! LOL

I will have seats for those who do not RSVP just in case they show.  I will mix them into other tables so I wont have a whole table that is empty and they other tables that are full.  If they don't show, then more room at the table.  I have to pay for a minimum of 200 people, so that means I wont run out of food. My guest list is at 196, so I am under the number. I will have a master list for my Hostess incase someone shows who originally said they would not be there.  Those people will have to wait to be seated.

 Lisa, That is an excellent idea. have extra tables. and seat the guest that did Rsvp. I'm still making my Master list as well.

No rsvp= no seat! Our reception is set for 200 guests and that's how we calculate how many tables to set up. Now if someone does not show up and a non-rsvp shows up, then they can have that seat but only after salad been served. This to make sure the person is not running late and show up later. Our reception site will bill us again after the wedding if we add-on more plates, so we really don't want to check-out the hotel the next day with a bill left to pay. If they bring a gift, well thank you but still not able to accomodate.

Your speaking like a true Gemini! i was just tryin not to be rude about it. LOL because it will be posted on our site, we will be sending the info out, and you will be hearing it word of mouth. So why wouldn't you Rsvp?

People think they can just "pop in" and not have to rsvp. That's why plated will work for us, so we can watch those type of people if they show up.

That's how I feel I don't want people to feel like they can just pop up. It will not be that Kind of party! I am a Gemini Bride as well. A matter of fact im getting married the day before my birthday. He hee My bday is may 26, and I  do have a twin. :)

I wont deal with those who didnt RSVP. I will be doing a table seating chart.  Those that havent RSVP'd will only be able to sit if I have empty seats. Once the empty seats are filled that will be it.  Cant afford to add an extra table for those who fell to follow directions.

Exactly! Those who have an escort card on the table outside of the reception will be allowed in the reception room. Guests who are standing back like, "I don't see my card", obviously didn't rsvp. So they will be seated last & only if there are empty seats. I'm not gonna automatically pay for pop-up guests. No thank you.

Sadou & Lil 01, That's how i feel. I don't feel like paying for extra heads,which im not ..I refuse. I feel like if I'm sending a card out to Rsvp then apparently i need you to do just that.
